The GIOBOR stent is designed for endoscopic ultrasound (EUS)-guided hepatogastric drainage procedures. It features a partially coated design: three-quarters of the body is covered with medical-grade silicone to prevent tissue ingrowth and facilitate removal, and the other quarter is uncovered for firm anchoring in the liver.
Its flared shape at both ends ensures secure apposition between the stomach and liver, preventing migration and leaks. It includes a retrieval loop and high radiological visibility. It is a safe, effective, and minimally invasive solution for patients with difficult-to-reach biliary obstructions.
